Definitions of a garment

My personal definitions of a garment:
-Must have an ability to be applied to the body
-Must cover private areas
-Must offer either protection or surface decoration

These rules are set for when the object in question is applied to the body; they do not need to apply when the garment is on its own.

(my microsoft office has expired and I cant afford to renew it so I have to print screen word documents now because cut and paste has been disabled......hahaha)

I am going to experiment with 'fashion' materials (tools, processes and materials that we might not necessarily explore as garments.
-feathers----like alexander McQueen- love it!
-horsehair
-stuffing (from the inside of jackets or couches?)
-paper (pattern-making paper)
-pins (is it even possible to make a garment out of pins?)-------foxyman blog did
